After hearing of his mother’s stroke, Aaron returns to Paradise to check on her. When he realizes how much the stroke has affected his mother, his heart breaks for her and the strong woman he remembers from his childhood. Determined to show his family, the community, and Linda how sorry he is for leaving and how much he wants to make it up to his family, Aaron sticks around to add some handicap features to the house in order for his mom to get around easier. But when his brother Solomon refuses to forgive him, Aaron is torn between staying or moving away again.

By page 50 I was in tears and just couldn’t let go.

I have to say, the first one in this series was not my favorite, however, the last three were absolutely awesome! When I began this one, it was a touch slow, however, by page 50 I was in tears and just couldn’t let go. I was so eager for Aaron to find out what happened to his letters, my heart literally broke for him with the way his brother treated him. And Linda, oh goodness, she had my full attention as well. How someone can go through such a tragedy and live with such meanness on a daily basis, yet be as sweet as can be. Really shows the power of God’s love.

What can I say, I’m a hopeless romantic that typically roots for the good guy (or gal)!

As always, it’s fun to revisit some of the families from the previous stories. What can I say, I’m a hopeless romantic that typically roots for the good guy (or gal)! I love how not every book ended with a happy ending, but they all tied together nicely and the stories weaved together so beautifully! I don’t know what else to say without ruining the story or the series, so you’ll just have to check them out for yourself! Great job Amy!
