Considering that her first word was “book”, it was pretty much a given that Carrie would be a voracious reader. She did not disappoint. Though her favorite genres are romantic suspense and historical fiction, she will read just about everything legible within her viewing area. In fact, if you catch her reading stuff on your desk, just ignore her. She promises she’s only being mildly nosy. Mostly, she’s reading because she just can’t help it. Carrie’s to-be-read list threatens to overtake her on a daily basis, and she says that it’s likely she will be found one day buried beneath a collapsed tower of books… but what a way to go!
In her other life, Carrie lives in Kentucky with her husband Eric and their quirky dog Zuzu and is the long-distance cool aunt to 9 wonderful nieces and nephews! Though she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Carrie teaches English as a Second Language to international adults in her community – something which she freely admits has changed her life.
When she’s not teaching or reading (or doing silly things like sleeping), Carrie’s over at her blog Reading Is My SuperPower where she’s making progress on that TBR tower – one book at a time!
